Gazprom Space Systems is developing the prospective space mobile broadband access system named PolarStar.
The basis of the system is the orbital group of HEO satellites.
Service zone is the total territory of Russia and polar regions.
The main service of the system is the broadband access (high speed Internet access, e-mail, telephony, TV and radio reception) for mobile and fixed objects.
One of the main tasks of the PolarStar system is the provision of mobile and remote objects of Gazprom with communications, including the objects located in arctic region.
